A company that controls its entire supply chain, from quarry to construction site

Valagussa Cave & Calcestruzzi was established as the natural evolution of Gruppo Valagussa, an industrial group founded in 1972.

The history of Valagussa Cave & Calcestruzzi stems from the Group’s experience in the construction sector, later expanded to include concrete production and the extraction and processing of aggregates. Over time, the company has become a recognised point of reference in the industry: a fully integrated partner able to support every aspect of a construction site.

Our fully automated production plant features two loading points and is strategically located in Merate (LC). This position allows us to operate across a wide area and efficiently serve the provinces of Lecco, Como, Bergamo, Monza and Milan.

We operate our own fleet of vehicles, allowing us to optimise delivery logistics and meet the specific scheduling and operational requirements of each construction site.

Part of the Valagussa Group: industrial strength and an international vision

Valagussa Cave & Calcestruzzi operates within Gruppo Valagussa, an industrial group founded in 1972 and active in the construction, environmental services, materials recovery and real estate sectors.

With a production facility in Merate (LC) covering more than 100,000 m² and operational sites in Italy, France, Switzerland and Spain, the Group ensures continuity, organisational capacity and an integrated approach to construction site activities.

Being part of the Group enables the division to operate according to high standards, with multidisciplinary technical support and an international outlook on industry developments.

Controlled supply chain

Owning the quarry deposit gives us direct control over the quality of the raw materials, which are checked at every stage by Valagussa Laboratori, all the way through to the finished product.

Reliable deliveries

Our own fleet of vehicles and organised logistics allow us to meet the required delivery times and quantities for every construction site, large or small.

Continuous innovation

We develop tailored solutions and continuously improve the performance of our products in synergy with Valagussa Laboratori.

Our approach

Sustainability: circular economy through the use of recycled aggregates and the full recovery of processing waste. Some of the natural raw materials used in concrete can be replaced with End-of-Waste materials generated by Valagussa Ambiente’s processing activities. We also reuse washing water and second-flush rainwater, with constant analytical monitoring, to optimise the use of this important natural resource.
Reliable and punctual deliveries: we optimise our logistics processes to ensure compliance with agreed delivery times, as well as the required quantity and quality of the material supplied.
End-to-end process management: we manage the entire production chain, from extraction to delivery of concrete and aggregates to the construction site.
Research and development: through Valagussa Laboratori, we pursue a continuous improvement process aimed at increasing the performance and quality of our concrete, aggregates and other products.

FROM THE QUARRY TO THE PRODUCTION PLANT

The quality of Valagussa Cave & Calcestruzzi concrete and aggregates starts first and foremost with our people: a team that, while being part of a structured Group, closely follows every stage of the supply chain and every customer.

Our supply chain starts at the extraction quarries, where the raw materials originate, and continues through to Merate (LC), home to our aggregates processing plant and concrete production plant. The latter features two loading points to ensure operational continuity even during periods of peak demand.

A streamlined yet comprehensive structure designed to maintain control over every stage, from extraction to the delivery of concrete and aggregates to the construction site.
